HAZLO TÚ MISMA: TURBANTE / DIY: TURBAN

Hace unas semanas vi un lindo turbante en venta y cuando lo tomé para observarlo mejor, noté que sus características de diseño y confección son bastante sencillas, así que me animé a crear uno y, la verdad, es que no tardé ni 20 minutos en terminarlo. Créanme, ¡es muy sencillo! Pero el origen de los turbantes guardan historias profundas e importantes que representan diversos significados culturales en Asia y África donde, por ejemplo, no llevarlo puesto al momento de hacer una visita a algún amigo o familiar  constituía una enorme falta de respeto para los antiguos árabes. Los historiadores explican también que las mujeres negras esclavizadas en América usaban turbantes para cubrir entre sus cabellos semillas y diferentes cosas de valor que les eran útiles tanto a  ellas como a los suyos, aunque hacerlo, les fuera injustamente prohibido por los colonizadores. Los turbantes fueron también la causa de reuniones femeninas en las tribus africanas quienes, en equipo, los creaban con pieles y plumas y los ofrecían como símbolo ornamental de orgullo y madurez a  las chicas  que pasaban de niñas a mujeres. ¿Interesante no lo creen? Toma como medidas para ambos trazos de tela el largo de tu brazo y al menos 6 cm de ancho, esto dependerá de tu gusto personal. Luego, coloca los trazos en forma de "X": uno pasando a través del otro del otro. Si gustan, pueden colocar un aro decorativo en el centro de las telas.
